You be need'n a new ICM. (Ignition control Module) (EIDIS)

It is located if front of the battery.

https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1119619,parttype,7172

This link is just an example. These modules are available at your local parts stores.

Note: you'll notice on the rock auto site that ther are several model specific numbers. You will need to pull your old module out first to get the numbers off it.

i replaced that already but it was a junk yard unit. is there away to test them?

I'd say you've already tested the junk yard one. It's dead..

But, you can at least make sure the ICM is getting power.

If the ICM is getting power but has a bad ground you will get a CEL for the bad ground.

For sure though if it has power and you get no spark and no injector pulse, the ICM is bad.

Give this post a read for some more info on checking the power distribution and tests for the ICM and PCM.

The fact that the ICM is located so close to the battery is a corrosion problem for the device and the associated wiring in that location.

Tried a icm with the right numbers. Still not starting what do you think I should check next? Everything appears to be getting power like it should.

Bad engine harness? I believe the crank, injectors, coil pack and a few other things run in a harness that bolts to the underside of the alternator, there's a big lump connection there. Might be worth looking at.

Can you dump out any error or status codes?

The scanner I got says no codes In library so it seems to be communicating with the computer fine?

Does this thing have a fresh battery in it or are you jump'n it?

Staring to sound like a low voltage prob.

I'm sure the battery was dead after sitting, so you are not going to get any codes out of the ECM until after you get it fired up. It's not a flash drive... no power = no memory

Since I always used a paper clip to pull codes, I'm not sure how scanners treat "no codes". For your scanner, does it distinguish between "no codes at all" and "all pass codes"?

In some ways, I am surprised that there are no codes/all pass codes. I would normally expect at least KOEO 114 and or KOEO 116 from a no start, because those temperature sensors would be too cold if the engine cannot be preheated prior to the test. At this point, I might suggest that you revisit the self-test procedure and make sure that the PCM is really talking to your scanner.

I put a new battery in it so that's not an issue. The crank sensor wasn't sending the right voltage put a new one on and that issue was fixed but still not working. My dad's got it to his work where they have like a Michel program and they said it told them to check the wave pattern with a lab scope on the wires from the icm so I'm not sure what's up.
