92 Ranger with 4x4 issues.

have a 92 ranger when i push the button to engage the 4x4 the light , lights up but it is not engaged: i use to hear the motor kind of buzz under the truck but don't hear it anymore

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the Ranger section. There is a sticky thread on the top of the transmissions & transfer cases section on rebuilding the shift motor.

I took advice from here and put a new shift motor on the transfer case and it works great now...cost around $75 for the part here at Napa but was a pretty straight forward process...looks to me like you came to the right place to find good advice, these guys are very helpful...
