Went to look at a 93 4x4 with 4.0 engine. It will run for a minute or two and die like it is running out of gas. Try to start again and it runs briefly then dies. So I tell the guy selling it to check for pressure at the valve and it squirts fairly well. So I start it again and it runs for a couple of minutes and sputters and dies. Did this several times with the same out come. Seems that as long as we release pressure from the system it will start and run but if we dont it just sputters a little. Was not able to check fuel pressure, did not have a pressure tester. Could the pressure regulator cause this?
