Hey.
I've been looking at replacing mine as well. I know the stock size is 6x8. I remember reading about someone putting in 6x9's in without needing to cut, but I have'nt looked to see.
The Door pannel comes off fairly easily, there are a few screws and some pop on fastners. Once the panel comes off, the speakers are right there.

6x9's are easy enough. Tho I'd consider a 6x8 plate speaker or a round speaker with a 6x8 adapter. Most adapters are for 5 1/4's. What kind of speakers do you have in mind, and what type of quality are you looking for? I've had good luck with E-Bay but that is a whole other site I spend too much time on......
Next time you may want to try a search first;)

My advice would be my set up...Kicker IX57.2 components in the front and rear doors...these are 5x7's and they produce absolutely amazing mids and highs, better than my old M5 Diamond Audio components...also Kicker IX5.2 components in front kick panels and in the rear door Kicker IX693 co-axials in the lower door panel...you will need to fabricate your own enclosure and bracket or have someone do it for you...but I would do it yourself...its easy...run two Kicker IX704 amps to these speakers and get (3) Kicker Comp C12 subs ran off an IX405D and bridge in tri-mode...throw it all in a dope custom box and amp rack and you got yourself one nice system

Isn't weird how people always happen to recommend exactly what they have? It didn't seem to me Ruff Ryder wasn't asking for an all out stereo setup. If you wanna talk all about your system you could start a whole new thread and put up pics. I'd like to see this "dope" box. :D
Anyways I have always had good luck with (dead link) and another site that is highly rated is [(dead link)
If I were you I'd buy a speaker know so that you won't want to upgrade it later. But then again my stereo keeps changing and probobly always will. It's more fun that way I guess, but costs more $$$ later.

Somebody else with 3 12"s? I want to see this setup too. :)
