93 explorer Dead 4wd!

Well that was easy. I pulled the shift motor last night, took her apart and lo and behold little orange pieces began raining from within. It was that infamous stopper. A bit of plastic cable sheathing I had lying around and a little weather sealant later and I was cruising the hills with all four spinning.
Thanks again everyone!

thats why they say the price for membership here is probably a lot less than you will save on your repairs...:D i am glad you were able to use that link like so many others have...i love that for wheeling ....;)

Congratulations! See how much fun it is to fix your truck, when you have the support of the Explorer Forum gang?

When my 4WD broke this winter, those shift motor threads led me right to the problem.
