Let me first say that the only reason I am doing this for my neighbor is that the freon leaked out with his bad compressor. (I dont have a recovery machine)
Replaced compressor with a F10 type (new) new air orifice and new accumulator. Flushed out the lines and condensor. Pulled vacuum for over 30 min and let it hold for 15. Added oil and started adding freon. After one can the pressures were not up and the compressor would run maybe 3 seconds and shut off for almost 30. No biggie not enough freon...
Added another can now the pressure on the high side is just about 250 (comp running) and the low side reads 45 (comp not running) (30 running) It was over 90deg today.
Problem is the compressor still cycles the same as having the low freon charge. It was getting dark so I shut it down. Going to check the low pressure switch in the morning also the WOT relay. It blew 110deg air out of the center vent. Might need to check the controls as well for proper operation.
Any other suggestions from all you AC gurus would be appreciated
Thanks
