For a 93...

Body lift
Suspension lift
rims/tires
BBK Throttle body(about $250)
Bigger MAS sensor(about $350)
Exhaust/headers
BBK, Borla, JBA, Flowmaster all make something for a 93
KKM intake(just a cone filter at the end of the intake hose. No real gains unless you have other other stuff done.
Some places used to make a chip. Not sure if they still make them for a 93. I know Superchips stopped making them.
A gear swap can get you more power to the ground.

and if i had the money every thing "Jason94sport" said

wow, i just got a 93 too. Looking for cheap mods (most of my money pays for the car)

you can get the BBK Throttle Body for 199 on summitracing.com not 250, and a 70mm MAF on explorerexpress.com for 210, not 350. There are quite a few mods out there ya just gotta look.

yea i have a flowmaster on it already and also i driilled out air box i am trying to same money for a lift and 33's i think i was want a brush guard and rack on top and a cb with pa. anyone kno of a good lift for cheap??

both of them will fit a 93 v6 auto correct??

ya, they make a throttle body and air flow sensor for a 93. check explorerexpress.com, they have lots of mods you might look into to. Search this site for info on lifts. There are a few different options.

all i see on explorerexpress.com is for 96 and up and i found the throttle body have to talk to my mom bought using her card to buy it

At explorer express look under stage 2 power mods then scroll down to the MAS. 91-94 70mm MAS #ZD5591 $209.95 (for regular airbox) and #ZD5592 $209.95 (calibrated for cone filters). If you are going to put on any type of aftermarket cone filter, make sure you order the second one.

Depends on your definition of cheap. Lift kits to fit 33's aren't cheap. I believe you'd need a 4 inch suspension lift with 2 or 3 inch body to fit 33's, or a 5.5-6 inch suspension lift will fit them, but it's gonna run around ~700 for the basic skyjacker or superlift.

a grand for a 4 in lift kit at a shop by my house.

Probably custom built, or kit price with installation.

Engine mods should be done in this order: open element filter (KKM is most popular), catback exhaust (2.25"), BBK TB, MAF, Apten chip. The MAF makes the least amount of difference, at least in my case. Some say only do the MAF if you're adding a supercharger, but 70mm is too small for that IMO. I only recommend headers if you need new manifolds or if you're planning on forced induction.

With 33's you'll probably want 4.10 gears, though many get 4.56.

I agree with Husky and the others. I stopped at the bigger TB and Mas, but am itching to make that happen pretty quick. I have 33s and 4.10`s which is borderline for power, If I didn`t do so much highway driving to go camping and wheeling I would prefer 4.56`s. To fit the 33s I have a 2 inch body lift and a 2 Inch suspension lift along with some fender trimming.

I do have a `93 so check my mod thread from the link in my sig, might give you some ideas about what you can do, or what you don`t want to do, or what you can do yourself, etc. There`s alot of options, so take some time, I learned everything from the guys here.
I`m happy with my Ex, but easily could have done it up differently.

Oh yeah, for the quick overview and pics, "honk if you don`t exist"

how much was your 2in suspenstion lift and what size tires can u fit under it? :us:

I actually bought the kit with shocks added, from Ebay, so I`m not sure exactly what just a lift kit would cost, it was an explorer procomp set of add-a-leaves and some 2 inch poly spacers of unknown origin. Maybe 200-250 canadian or something like that.

-here`s a quote from my thread..

--The kit was this:
Explorer Pro Comp add-a-leaf. part # 56001
& a set of poly 2" spacers (don`t know part#).

Others have used these for the front:
Ford F-150 spacers - I found 2 part numbers on a post for these:
#F2TZ-5A307-A
#3F2TZ-5A307-B

-sometimes people have trouble using those f-150 part numbers, BTW, so if anyone knows the actual years of ones that fit, it would help. I can`t remember even though I know I read it here..

-I could only fit a 31x10.5 tire after my suspension lift, this is the norm.

You can pick up a Skyjacker 2" lift kit for around $180.00 (U.S.), shocks not included but most stock sized shocks are long enough to handle the extra distance. The kit uses add-a-leafs for the back and larger coil springs (lift springs) for the front.

you want a cheap lift go to tuffcountry they have a 4 inch lift for $ 479 pretty cheap

Hmm that is odd. I added some Skyjacker 1.5" lift coils for a ranger $56 then added f150 spacers $20 rear was AAL $50 and lift shackles $35. I then mounted 32x11.5 mud tires. I had slight rub on turning but then added a 2" BL $20.

So you can do some mods with lifts fairly cheap if you are patient and watch out for what you want.
