Im trying to figure out an issue I am having with my 94 explorer. It has a pretty good shake at idle and all through its running range like it is misfiring.I bought it this way and Immediately pulled the codes from the computer. All that came up was EGR and I replaced all the parts associated with it and that took care of the codes.I next did a compression test and all cylinders were 155-160 which I thought was great as it has 224,000 miles so i am confident the engine itself is fine.It already had a new coil pack and I replaced the plug wires (and made sure to put them back in the proper location). The only things I can think of now is the fuel pressure regulator and fuel injectors but I could be missing something else?I did check all the vacuum hoses and they are fine.Any one got any ideas on where else to look?I really wanted to look at everything I can before messing with the fuel injectors since this thing has the egr setup and is a little more involved when pulling the upper intake.

Broken motor mount could cause engine shakes.

Are there any other symptom while driving. Like hesitations in throttling surging speed while driving. While idling does it surge is it rough and unsteady...

No its not a mount but it will be if I dont get the shake out of it.There is no surging but it does have a general lack of power like it has a cylinder that is missing..I am pretty sure I have all the electrical part covered as far as anything ignition related and thats why I was thinking maybe an injector had given up and causing a dead cylinder.I did check the plugs out and they were new also and haven't been ran enough to see anything funny on them.Another thing I thought of which I have no experience with is the cam position sensor.I dont know if it would cause anything like that.I don't have any codes from it but I don't know how they act either when they go bad.
