HELP!!!!!!!!!I was getting spark and no signal to the injectors.I thought the just installed trailer aftermarket new light harness caused the computer to go out - I got a new computer one from the junk yard..put it in ...The suv started right up....yes
the case could also have been no accelerator depressed while starting;because, again I started it the next day without pushing the throtle and the same thing happend....It runs fine all the time till I start it without using the gas pedal(at idle like)I guess.
This resulting problem causes the computer not to fire the injectors till I change it out...the original pcm cleared out codes and the computer is back in now and it runs great again..
Must be the Maf is not telling the computer at low idle there is air flow?
Must be the pcm wont fire of the injectors cause of some code that needs cleared?
I have 3 extra pcm computers if someone needs one with the number ending in NB.Not mb
It is running today but I don't know what happened...I switched the fuel pump relay with an identical one and it runs still ;but ,why would the computer lock up and not fire injectors( I found no electrical impulses at injector leads during cranking) The computers must have needed better reading of airflow? Why would it stop the injectors from squirting? Lotsa SPark still!! DURRING CRANKING...HELP

I know this sounds basic, but can you hear the fuel pump run when the key is on? Did you check the fuel pressure? Just wondering. When my pump went, a few weeks before it finally went I had trouble with cold starts.

Agreed. I had the contacts on my fuel pump relay go bad on my 94 Limited. Pulling the fuel pump relay, spraying some contact cleaner in there, and replacing the relay solved the problem.

Power to the thing

Power to the thing I think is the answer but it seems that the computer locked up after starting without depressing the gas pedal. I am scared- I think the maf sensor code is the same as low idle code and it locks the computer????????
But I switched pcm computers and had the same put put sort of fire...fuel pump symptom.
I am carrying a preasure guage for my fuel pump- I am redy to bang on the tank or the relay...After I check the voltage at the inertia(wreck) switch.ETC.
But the truck runs so fine now....Why should I do this???????????
