Hey all, I'm new here, so howdy. I have an issue with my front drivers side wheel clunking when i hit bumps. Both my mechanic and I have looked it over and everything looks normal. It happens in 2wd and 4wd. Any ideas? Also I have an issue with my wipers or my blower cutting out at random times. Sometimes I'll turn one on and nothing will happen for a while. This isn't good seeing as its winter right now! I'm not totally car-savvy but i know a thing or two. These things have me kinda stumped.

Welcome to the forum.

The clunking is most likley the radius arm bushing since you have checked the other things like ball joints and steering linkeage.

The blower or wiper issue, I haven't heard about. Easiest thing is to check the switches.

Check the switches and wiring. If that doesn't work maybe the brushes on the motors need a tap with a hammer or replacement.

As said above, check the RAB for sure. Mine are pretty beat up and they clunk around a bit over rough roads, as well as when I've had to brake hard.

I had the exact problem with my blower motor. Sometimes I'd turn it on and get nothing, other times it would work fine, and sometimes it would start fine then just stop. Changed the relay during the summer while addressing another issue and my heat has worked fine all winter.

Wipers I'm not sure about, but worth looking into the relay for that as well, I'm pretty sure there is a relay for the wipers.

I just had the RAB on that side changed mid last year and my mechanic checked it this month at my inspection and said it was perfect. He still can't find the clunking. As for the blower, it IS the relay, which is funny because i tried it before and got no response, but this time when it happened, i decided to try jiggling it again and it worked! So I replaced that and all is good so far. I'm still confused about the wipers though, is there a relay for that?

have you checked the u joints??? i would try tapping on the wiper motor..if the problem is still there then i would replace the motor

Watch the bottom shock mount as you have someone push on the truck to make it bounce. If your shocks are old, the lower mount bushing in the shock could be worn. It happened to mine, I undoubtedly need new shocks.
