What kind of pads? Some material is harder & squeal till they warm up.
Also bed the brakes in....youtube the procedure.

im talking about the front although good info

.... i dont see a litttle metal clip on the
pads for the 94 what i think the problem is the shoe is loose without a keeper
squeeks intermittant

Some premium pads do not come with the clip "ceramics" for example.

The hardware kit has them.

Your auto-parts store will give you some for free if you point out that the pads did not include them and you'll get new float pins too!

The clips go on the bottom of the inboard pad.

A little hard to tell how they should be oriented.

If you don't have any OEM pads to look at ask the parts guy to bring some to the counter and have a look.

Or if this makes sense, The smooth side inboard, sharp edges out, long bend down.
It does not snap into place! don't force it or you'll bend it to much. Just get it in position and push to bottom of the pad in.

Been there, done that on this little treat!

sorry no pic to clarify

Thanks for the link smegun,

Note:

Some pads have thicker metal backing, like the ceramics I run.

so if the clip won't snap on don't force it. Use two hands hold the clip in place insert top of pad first then snap the bottom in over the clip.

noticed clip is a little chirpn birdie

yea got it world of diff theres really no cut out for it I had my front tires off three times getting the clip seated right you have to fold the tab under not over the guide ....im glad I didn't bleed the brakes too hard its a tough system but the rolled steel the small clip went un noticed must of fell off during my first attempt at changing the shoes all new now working perf

the caliper rebuild kit works good but buying a new caliper is cheap enough and comes with 1 clip maybe the clips should come with the shoes as it would be more noticed in the assembly
