hey i've got a 94 ranger and im looking for an intaer that comes in an enclosed box to help keep the mud off the filter when im out having fun, i also noticed that the place where the filter is located seems like it would suck more hot air from the engine than cold air from the outside.

well hopefully someone can help me out, i've searched to no avail.

...welcome here, and what he said...i didn't think the 94 was different on the intake...my 95 intake is actually between the rt. fender and splashguard...

Pretty sure your 94 came with a airbox stock. If you have an exposed filter, a previous owner must have swapped it in.
I moved your thread to the Ranger forum.

here's what im saying

it seems like it's tucked back in there sucking hot air unlike the 96+ explorers where the intake is right behind the headlight. the stock airbox on my ranger has a tube that sucks air from sort of by the headlight. is there a kit that has a box and a larger tube like the stock one?

The thing to do would be to relocate your battery, then re-route the filter into that corner, and wall it off from the rest of the engine compartment.
There's no kit for that, but it shouldn't be too hard.

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Alright, I will try that. Thanks for welcoming me to this forum.

well the battery isnt usually located there, whoever owns that truck in the picture there put thiers there, so what should i do though? i dont want a snorkel but i want it in an encosed box, like a volant, but they dont make one, is there another company that makes a enclosed box filter for 91-94 ranger?
