I have a 94 4x4 exploder that I have had since new but EX-wife has driven it for last 8 yrs & have done nothing to maintain it at all, it was losing trans fluid & would have to put a qt every 2mos cuz rev. slipped. Now 2nd is slipping and there is sufficint fluid in it, since it was never maintained, what is the chances of me fixing the prob. with a filter and fluid change? or should I cut my losses and try to sell trade or part out?? the truck is in good shape and still runs good w/ 135,000 on it but I'm not sure I want to dump 1500.00
for a rebuild, seeing as I already put 1000.00 into it with rims front end work and new hubs and a fuel pump.
