Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a certain procedure to reassembling the fuel rail back onto the injectors on a 4.0 liter, see I had to replace the cansiter purge sileniod so I had to take off the air intake plenum. well after you get that off I took off the fuel rail piece since I had 2 gaskets one for the upper and one for the lower. well after I pulled the fuel rail off there were green O rings exposed some were in the fuel rail and some were still on the tops of the injectors, so my dad pulled the rest of the O rings out of the fuel rail and put them back on the tops of the injectors. so when we went to put every thing back together the fuel rail went back in place the O rings snaped into the fuel rail so we thought yehaw.. its going back together good. so we get it back together and start it up and I have fuel spraying every where on the passenger side. well we pulled it back apart and some of the O rings were cut I'm guessing thats my problem, but my ? is do I have to have the O rings in the fuel rail or do I put them around the tops of the injectors like I did before, and are the O rings a dealer Item only or can I get them at any parts store? please help its an emergency I need to get my car back together soon!
