94 xlt intake advice please

I want to buy a new intake for my explorer. I see many of you use the KKM true rev kit and seem to like it, but has anyone tried the stainless intake system from IFAB performance products. I am looking for reccomendations from a performance standpoint not cosmetics. I have been told that the stainless pipe flows more air faster because it is smoother, true or false ? here is a link to the ifabintake.any advice would be welcome. I found the adapter and filter on the ifab website but still wonder is it worth the money

I've heard that's there's not much restriction at all in the stock tube for Explorers so you won't really get better performance by changing the tube along with the intake?
