I've tried to search your archives but to no avail. I'm sorry if this is a question that has already been posted before.
We have a 95 Explorer 4.0, 4wd, 2dr, 5 speed with 200k on the clock. The trans has been rebuilt once and is starting to act up again. I have noticed that the 98 and up explorers have a different manual trans.
So here are my questions. What trans is in the 95? What trans is in the 98? What would be involved in swapping a 98 trans into the 95?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
