Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for a 95 Ford Explorer EB.

My dash lights are all out.
When I test the wires going to the bulbs they are both showing as a ground, which would explain why the bulbs would not light up.
The strange thing is that when I put my meter on all the fuses inside & under the hood they all show good.
I can't understand how the power wire going to the lamps in now grounded without blowing a fuse.
It's not the dimmer because it still dims the clock & climate control lamps.
It's not just the dash lamps that are out, I also noticed the PW switches aren't lighting up either, I'm not sure about the cruise control buttons on the steering though, but I have a feeling the might be out too.

On the connector that goes on the cluster going to the bulb there is a R/B & a Black wire & both have continuity to ground.
On the dimmer connector I see the same color wires & the R/B has 12v that will vary when I move the dimmer wheel & the black is ground, so I'm thinking those are the same wires but I don't know how it is wired so who knows they might not be.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a similar thread going with respect to dash lights not working. I got mine fixed. I got the wiring diagram from the Ford dealership. How would be the best way to get it to you? I'm still pretty new here and don't know the right way to do this.

Thanks CodyN.

I just sent you a PM with my email addy.

I had the same problem and it WAS the dimmer switch. My lights would still dim also. There are other parts in that switch besides the rheostat. Its worth it to try to change it.

I'm going to do some testing on the dimmer switch, as soon as I get over to the inlaws where my Explorer is.
The biggest problem is it's just not across the street, its abut a 25 mile drive.

What lights were dimming for you?

Well I finally got over there & did some more testing & found the problem was the dimmer. I removed the plug from the dimmer & put 12v to the red/black wire that feeds the cluster & the lights lit.
I then took the dimmer apart & found a couple of solder connections were broke loose. After soldering them I plugged it back in & now I have dash lights.

Thanks for all that have helped & I hope this will help others that have this same problem.
I have read so many posts that that don't have any final results & didn't want this to be another one of them.
