im a 19 year old kid with an explorer i don't have a lot of money. but i have and have acses to a lot of nice tools including a cnc plasma cutter, welders... all those sorts of goodies. so what are some cheep projects i can do to improve my explorer?
WHAT I WANT TO DO
i want to put together a thread for other people like me who are on a budget and want small projects to do on the weekends that wont put there car off the road for more than a day or two and wont cost them too much, say $0-200. and rate each project on skill level needed and estimate on time needed for the project.
iv already started designing a light rack that is easy to put together and only costs $70 including the lights. i also just started designing some nice bumpers with the builder in mind as well as their wallets. at the same time im trying to make a good looking safari rack.
if any of you guys know of any projects like this, please share! and then one of us will have to make a nice organized thread with a list of projects, designs, and step by step easy to read instructions so there wont be any big surprises.
ps. if anybody needs any parts cut, id be happy to design, cut and ship them to you. i will have to pay my boss for materials and use of tools but i will design them for everyone here for free to keep things cheep for everyone. i also work at a graphics shop so i can do custom vinyl decals. i can get these things cheep for you guys if your interested. i would love to cut parts and decals for free but i have to give a little profit to my boss if i sell anything. but like i said i can do the design work for free, and the labor so it will be much cheaper than usual. im not trying to sell anyone anything, just trying to spread the love! add a connection to those who might not have them and need them.
