95 explorer xlt 4.0 to 5.0

Im new to this explorer but my wife loves the darn thing.The 4.0 engine took a dump and i dont really want to waste my time on another sorry 4.0 so im lookin for the details in puttin the 5.0 efi in instead .I got a good 5.0 efi out of my 87 GT.Can we make this work or do i send it to the crusher and do with out for months..... you can make it work but its not easy. You need the engine, a v8 ecu, and a tranny and possibly an adapter for the tranny to the driveshaft.

The best thing to do is to find a rollover V8 and simply swap parts from one truck to another. I say simply, but it's still a tough job.
