I recently had an electrical fault in my 95 XLT, which was supposedly "fixed".
Problem now is that no sound comes out of the JBL premium stereo when the car is in Park or Neutral. The headunit functions (i.e. the lights are on and it reacts when I change the volume, etc.) but no sound comes out. Everything works fine when I'm in gear.
I am guessing that the amp was somehow rewired to a different circuit, but I don't have the foggiest idea how to begin diagnosing the problem. Original mechanic is at a loss and I've been to another one with no luck, so I think I'll need to tackle it myself.
I should also note that the alarm system chirp no longer functions on lock or unlock, but the remote locking/unlocking works fine and the alarm sounds when it should.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
