So I just got myself a '95 Ford Explorer. Birthday surprise, pretty stoked.:D

But I decided I wanna do something to it for myself, that being giving it a lift.

When I search for kits though, I keep coming up with kits only up to '94?

Id really appreciate if someone gave me a link to a complete 3-4 in lift kit, best price of course. Please and thank you.

Sorry if this has been posted before.

search for Torsion Twist and Warrior Shackles. This will give you approx. 2" of lift . Then you might go for a body lift after. With the TT/Shackles you will be able to run a 31" tire and add a 3" body lift and you can go to 33" tires.

they make a suspension lift kit for the 96 and up, but not the 95,, reason being , the back supports for the torsion bars are not removable, they are riveted in place, not bolted, so they would have to be drilled out i believe and than bolts used to replace them to put on the Superlift 4 inch kit,, the only one i believe available at this time,
but,,
and this is a big one,, check this link, it can get 5 inches, on the cheap,

with 5 inches, 33 inch tires are a go,,

ha ha ha , he was posting that link as i was getting it,,

from what i hear
They don't sell explorer lifts anymore because they are "unsafe" but if you really want a lift i believe you can use ranger pa-853 body lift (3in). Everything lines right up, and its pretty cheap, just a PITA to do.

the lifts are not unsafe. lots of guys have them , without issues,, the trouble is the people that think a lifted truck is a sports car make them unsafe,,

ya i gotta agree with ya there, i posted that as just a heads up that you can use ranger lifts, i got nothing against lifting itself

one other thing to consider when doing your lift is the axle gearing and most likely you will have 3.55 or 3.73 which will both be ok with 31" tires but with 33" tires I would suggest regearing to 4.10 which would cost mucho $$$

he could always pull an axle at a junkyard, im planing on goin hunting for one sometime soon, possibly from a ranger for the easier soa and a higher gear ratio

longer bolt?
for the TT?

you probably wont need it as I just did mine today and it was good...so far
