I want to put an aftermarket stereo in my 1995 Ford Ranger. Is there a factory amp in there somewhere, and if so, where is it located? Right now, I just have the factory AM/FM stereo

do you know what system your truck has? does it have for instance a mach system, jbl system, premium audio? im not saying that rangers had these at all as im not sure, but it would help narrow down if you knew a little more what type of stereo you have

Factory amp is located behind the passenger side rear panel (with wheel well hump). Bypassing isn't necessary but it utilizes your HU's amp for crisper sound.
