I just changed the filter and fluid in my 95 and noticed that there was a thin layer of sediment all over the trans pan. This may have been the first time it had been changed, not sure. IT has about 109K on it. It seems slow going in to drive and reverse, but I am comparing this to my 97 F150 that had a shift kit in it. Is this typical of the way the trans looks and acts? Knowing all of the trouble Explorers have with trans, I am expecting something to go wrong I guess...What do ya think?
Also who makes the shift kit for this truck?
