'96 Airbag light, no code.

I'm stumped. The airbag light on my '96 5.0 XLT does not have a code associated with it. I'm guessing that side airbags weren't an option that year, so the "*******" fix mentioned in several other threads doesn't appear to be an option. Any ideas?

If the light is on, there must be a code, even if the internal module fuse blows, you can still get a code telling you so. What are you using to retrieve Air bag codes?

No, if the light is coming on, there should be codes retrievable with a scanner capable of pulling codes from the Air bag module. Sounds like you have an intermittent light, which may not flash a code thru the light. If I misunderstood please let me know.

Yep, that's what I'm told by a couple of shops whose work I've been satisfied with in the past.

this kind of thing happened to me shortly after i got it and i got lookin at it and noticed that the pass side bag wasnt plugged in. once i plugged it in the light hasnt came back on since. dont know if this will help but i just thought i would let you know about my experience
