HI,Well changed the oil&filter in our 96 explorer and found two pieces of metal in bottom of pan about 2" long looks like part of band adjustment,took pictures
but have not put into PC just yet still in camera phone how do you upload them to the site maybe this is why it does not shift too well,thanks
Well i looked at eagle22's post with the that looks like i plus i got one other piece that had what looked like it would take a bolt,how long do you think this
trany may last.
Was looking in stickies and saw pictures from Rockiexploers post and the two on the left are the same parts that we found
in the bottom of the pan,changed filter&oil now it shifts better no 2nd gear.
It could have been worst we were contemplating buying rebuilt VB,using AMSOIL and between those two would have wasted about $500.00 and
still would have no 2nd gear as it was we only spent $75.00,good thing we were given this car because between the trany&heater core local
FORD garage would have charged us about $4000.00 to fix these problems.
