I want to run Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tire on my stock 16’s. right now im running a 2.5 inch suspension lift with a TT and custom built rear springs. The three sizes im looking to run are 265/75/16 which is a 31.6x10.4/16 or 285/75/16 a 32.8x11.2/16 or 305/70/16 a 32.8x12/16. according to the max tire thread the 265/75 fit no prob, my question is, is a 1 inch – 1.5 inch body lift worth it to fit the larger tires? And I have an eddie with the fender flares do you think the 11in or 12in tire will look better?

the 12" tire would rub like crazy on stock wheels. to give you a idea here is my eddie back when I had 2" TT, shackles, and 265/75/16's on it..

how did yu like the 265s? so the 12s are out and do you like your 33s alot better? i just dont like how the truck looks with a 3in bl, i saw a guy on here with a 1.5 in bl once i thought it looked perfect. wait werent you the guy who made the 300.00 lift thread and used to have that silver 99 ex and now that i come to think of it didnt you have like a 1.5 inch bl on it? that thing looked bad ass what tires were you running with that?

I wasnt a big fan of the 265's. I like the 33x12.5's a lot more! haha yeah that was me.. I was running 33x12.5r15's on 15x8 wheels with 3.75 backspacing with a 1" body lift, tt, and shackles. Ive been running that same set up on this one too until last weekend I went spring over in the rear and im doing a sloped body lift on thursday. This route is the way to go for the most ground clearance. Here is a photo of nick26's and the thread showing how he did it. If you cant weld superlift sells a Spring over axle kit thats all bolt on.

See how I could just barely clear a cat laying down? I think I could clear 2 sitting on top of eachother now...;)

my advice to you is go all out the first time. If your going to lift it, lift it as much as you can for the least amount of money. Ive done so much tinkering with this truck. I had a 1" BL, 2" suspension on the 265's, then I lowered it using blocks and reverse TT, then I put the 1" BL back on with the 2" susp and ran 33's and I just wasnt happy with it which is why I went SOA and sloped body lift.

i think right now i want to run a 1 inch or a 1.5 inch body lift by just cutting some 3 inch pucks down. i really like my factory chromed wheels, so with the 2.5 suspension lift and a 1 bl do you think i would rub with the 285s? i like the soa but how much more lift does it get you in the rear because im only looking to go up another inch

agreed. i did a 3" bl, cuz all that work for 1" just doesnt seem worth it. twist, shackles, 33's are on the list

i got 265/75 on my stock hight with no rub when on the street, but yet to wheel it.im gonna tt and shackles just so i can have some fun off road with rubbing

i believe SOA is about 3-5" ? i'd imagine the lift would be roughly the thickness of your axle, since you are relocating your springs from under to over

thanks for now i think im going with a 1.5 inch bl bcuz a 3-5 spring over axle is def to much for me. and i like the whole go all out and make it as high as posible but it just kills the practicality of the truck for me im going to run with a 1.5 inch bl with the 285s. 99ex do you think i would have to upgrade my hardware with a 1.5 inch bl? i know with a 1 inch you dont have to

thanks. i aee your runnig bfg's how do you like them in the smow with the 33's because i was debating on them or the goodyear dura-tracs

So did you redue you rear end so its on the bottom side of the leaf spring?

How did I you mount the fog lights to your bumper???
