Hi All,
did some PM - changed Tstat, and engine temp sensor...
but now, after I put everything back together, I get the red battery light on the dash after KOER - it's the same, and doesn't dim, etc...
what I think happened was when I pulled the gooseneck, some water/anrifreeze may have gotten in there (the alt) and I did pour some water around the front to rinse the residue of the antifreeze, since I didn't want to smell it, etc...
so, it may have been from that too... did I fry the voltage requlator? - the Alt is giving me 14+ volts at idle, and the battery is steady at 13 volts with car and key off
the charging system was also checked and the alt works fine under load like it should... so, all I get now is a stuck idiot light...
can I replace the regulator without having to open up the Alt? or do I have to do that to get at it?
can I just unplug the lead from the alt for that idiot light for now?
Ideas, Ideas....
Thanks all
