You have 2 Vac lines on your diff. These go to the globe (via the switches) by the front pass fender corner. These control your 4x4 engagement.
The line your referring to is most likely the front diff vent line. It does not connect to anything. It should be capped with a breather tip. Just make sure it is routed up as high as you can get, so water cant breach it.
