96 Explorer tranny issues.

I have a 96 4.0. The tranny was rebuilt by previous owner, the TC was not put on correctly and the flexplate broke, now the TC is stuck on the shaft, what is the likely problems with the tranny now, and how can it be fixed?

You might have ruined the crankshaft to flexplate spacer, and the pump in the back of the bell housing.

how hard is it to replace the pump?

You have to remove the transmission, then remove the bell housing.

is it hard to remove the bellhousing, and how much does a pump cost?

Everything is bolted on. It's not hard to remove. You will need a pump alignment tool to align the gears. The bell housing might need a new bushing. This has to be given out to a special place which has a lathe just for this purpose. The bushing is machined in place to be concentric.
