Hi thanks to any and all help i receive from your forum
i just got a 96 explorer from a friend that said the trany locked up so he towed it home and pulled the transmission this was about a year ago
from reading some of your post i noticed 1karkarzyguy had made several replies claiming the importance of retrieving the codes, he felt the codes would identify the faults. i have always been Chevy and well Chevy's codes will tell you which end of the car has a problem i am surprised to hear how much faith 1karkarzyguy has in ford's diagnostics.
am i able to retrieve the codes from the unit with the trany out and is a scanner tool a must or can it be jumped out and count the light?
thanks
