I'm in need of some motor work on my 98 SOHC and happen to find a 96 OHV that this guy is selling the complete power train for $350. He had lifted the body off and was going to make a dune buggy out of it but changed his mind and now is wanting to sell everything but the frame and chassy. Included is the motor, tranny, transfer case, wire harness and computer all still assembled. Before I step into this project I just want to run this by you all and see what you think. Only thing I and see that would be a hang up is mounting everything, but being still being 2nd gen I would think things should still line up or at least be able to fab things up with out too much difficulty.

In need of feedback please.

I think you're right everything should line up, you might have slightly different pin out and you may have to trace wires to find constant power and ignition power hooked up right, but if you get everything it will work. If i'm thinking right the motor and trans mounts should even line up!
