96 ranger 4x4 motor swapping

hello i need to know what all has to be done to swap a 3.ol out of a 96 ranger to a 4.0l engine from and 97 exploere anyone know what i need to do and will my tranny work for this swap.

how much of the explorer do you have access to, ?

i have access to all of the explorer but it is a standard tranny and mine is auto

unfortunately you need to use the wiring hrness complete from the explorer, and when doing that , that means all the wiring and engine management,
the trans, i am not sure,

so could i use a motor the same from a ford van that has a 3,0l in it and just swap the intake and oil pan over from my old 3.0l
