"96 XLT cd changer

Hey everyone! I have a 6 disk changer in my console and it keeps skipping when i go over the smallest bump and it is scratching all my cds! Has anyone heard of this happening or know what could be worng?

Welcome to this forum! Is it a factory system or another after market brand? I think audio & navigation system section of this forum would get more responses.
