97 4x4 5.0 transmission

I'm looking to buy a 97 4x4 4 door with a 5.0 engine. Could someone tell me if the automatic transmission is the same as the one with a 4 litre of is it upgraded for the 5.0.

Are the 5 litre transmissions the same as the pickups?
I may haul a travel trailer .
