2000 5.0 Transmission

Hello I have a 2000 Explorer V8 with 170,000 miles. I am wondering if I should change the transmission fluid the last time was changed by my grandpa at 67,000 miles?

If it's currently shifting well it probably wouldn't hurt to change the fluid and filter. If there are issues it may make things worse. Transmission fluid is a high detergent fluid. The detergent could accelerate the wear of the friction clutches.
