97 5.0 exhaust

I have read so many things about exhausts for my 5.0 that I am becoming cross-eyed... So can someone PLEASE help me out? I want that muscle car sound for my 5.0, has anyone been able to accomplish this?

For that classic musclecar sound, you can not go wrong with a 2 chamber Flowmaster.

By the way, www.mustangexhaust.com has a ton of sound clips of different exhaust combos on Mustangs. If you go to the 5.0L section and browse around, you can get a good idea of what different setups will sound like on an Explorer.

Uh, i HAD a flow 40 series dumped w/ tips and remove two of the four cats and that was pretty throaty. In fact if i could do it again, then i would go w/out the tips. It's quieter at high speeds because it doesn't vibrate in the tips.

Or i would run true duals all the way out w/ little chrome tips to make it look nice.

Explorer Express sells a system with what looks like a Flowmaster 2 in 1 out catback, with a 3" pipe all the way back. It's supposed to sound pretty loud and fit well with the spare still installed.
