97 Aerostar is sluggish.

hey, i bought my aero about a year ago and since the winter ive noticed that its quite a bit slower on the pickup. the engine revs real high but it's crawling until it hits about 40 kph. gets up to highway speed ok. fuel economy is suffering aswell due to all the high revving i'm sure.

any ideas? could this be a symptom of any number if problems?
