'97 CD Player Stuck!

Hi, guys (and gals!) I'm pretty new at this so please bare with me! I have a '97 Ford X with the in-console 5 disc CD player which happens to be stuck in the player. When I push the eject button, I hear the motor working but it refuses to pop up! I'm cheap (figuratively speaking) and would like to try and get it out myself without having to take it to the shop. Does anyone know a trick to getting it out? I appreciate all the help! Thanks everyone!

i'm having the same problem. Mine will not eject or even play the cds that are stuck in there.

That's exactly what mine is doing as well! I tried to take the player out of the console today but can not reach the harness to unplug it and get it out! Frustrating! All I can say is thank God for iPods!
