Ok, in my 97 Expedition Eddie Bauer, I have the Ford/Mach audio system, with the subwoofer in the rear right side panel of the interior. Whenever I play any music, even music with almost no bass, the subwoofer would make really bad noises. Like the normal sounds from subs are all distorted. Now I am wondering what could this be? And also, this has gotten to the point that I would just unplug the woofers then to keep hearing this very bad noise. I was wondering, if there was a fuse or something I can remove to not use the subwoofers anymore? Is there some easy quick and simple way to disable the subs?
Please if anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. I am willing to either remove any fuses that will disable the subwoofer, rig up a switch so I can turn off the subs whenever I want, unplug necessary wiring to disable subs all together, or somehow fix the problem. Please help.
