97 Explorer/ 4x4 and 4low light flashing

I was just wonderin if anyone has had the same problem and can point me in the right direction to get it repaired? Thanks

If I reset the computer it stops flashing for about a week. 4 high works then and the light comes on like it should but when you turn the switch for 4 low nothing happens it doesn't engage into 4 low and light doesn't work. I know the previous owner a (woman)never used the 4 low but anyways. I was wondering if that could be a factor with the 4X4 and 4low light flashing.

The hall effect sensors probably need to be replaced. You can take it to ford and have the codes read, they can give you some insight. Search here on the boards this is a common problem.

this is a very stupid question or might be a good question but no offense here do you know how to use and engage your 4x4 low but putting the truck into neutral then turninng it to 4x4 low and to disengage you put it back into neutral turn to auto then go in reverse for about 10 feet till you hear a click. because if i turn my turck 4x4 low without putting it into neutral my light blinks

This might be a stupid answer to your question but have you ever flip down your sunvisor and readed the instructions. I wasn't borned yesterday.
