97 explorer 5.0 wont go forward

hi, I just got a used explorer with around 130000 miles and went to goto work the other day and it wont go forward but does back up. checked fluid and was a little low but did show up on stick and looked nice and clean. added about a pint of fluid and after letting it sit for a day it crept forward about ten feet but that's it. thank you for any helpful answers.

You may want to do a total fluid change on the transmission, and also put a new transmission filter in. If there's debris floating around in the fluid or if the transmission filter is clogged it can hang up the valve body or a governor in the transmission.

Thnx so much. Got the pan down and found a white o-ringed part that is white and looks like a top. Gonna search for info as far as where it came from but if u know maybe u could give me heads up. Thnx again.
