97 explorer tire prob

a family member of mine has a 97 explorer that wears the inner edge of the front tires out to the point the front tires are destroyed in 10 to 15k we have had the alignment checked multiple times. and the front susp replaced in the last 30k we are really getting tired of putting a new set of tires every 15k any ideas would be great.

Did you take the Truck to a reputable Alignment shop? (Are they trustworthy?) Did they check to see if everything in the front suspension is tight and in proper order? Something in the front must be loose or bad.. You said both tires are wearing on the insides? I would suspect bad alignment.. Have a mechanic check out the front more thoroughly. Like tugging/pushing on the wheels and parts to see if anything is loose.

he took it to belle tire and had the alignment checked 2 times and replaced every part in the front susp. we were thinking maybe the control arm bushings are bad. we are going to look at them tomorrow.
