I have a 97 explorer sport with a mazada 5 speed manual tranny......today on my way to work the clutch pedal went completely to the floor and and wont shift into gear. I nursed it home since i was only going up the road. once into the garage i found that it shifts fine with engine off but while the truck is running and the clutch fully depressed i can't get it into gear... i attempted to bleed it and it was coming out with a solid trickle while holding the clutch to the floor.
That is everything i have done so far and i am looking for some further advice as to where to go with it....thanks in advance.

If this is the same one I have, it has an internal slave cylinder. On the drivers side of the tranny, there is a rubber plug in the inspection port. With help, look to see if you are getting any travel on the slave cylinder when the clutch is depressed. If not, you may have either a bum master cylinder or slave cylinder. I had the same symptoms and it was my slave cylinder. MPITA to pull the tranny for it. If so, unless it is NEW, replace the clutch whle you're at it.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me. Ended up being the master cylinder. Now two years later it's starting to happen again so prob the slave. If you can afford it, and plan on keeping the truck for a while you might want to replace both. I agree with replacing the clutch while it's down.
Good luck.
