I have a 97 XLT both front tires lean out at the bottom. What causes this and how do you fix it?

You need to get a set of cambera adjusters and then get an alignment..

thanks for the reply, but what causes this to go bad over time? Is it the ball joints, bushings or something else? I did replace upper ball joint one side to no affect.

Thanks again

Also could be bad ball joints too.. Lift the front end up, grab the tire at the 6 & 12 o'clock position and check for play.. If you notice considerable amount of play then its a balljoint issue.. Also if someone cranked the torsion bars, that can cause negative camber at the top which may look like the bottom is sticking out more.

Okay, one last question. Is it possible that worn torsion bar bushings could cause this?

I'm worried about this too. I just put new tires on and got an alignment, but I'm still scared its going to wear the insides of the new tires and I won't be very happy.
