97 mountaineer awd making lots of noise driving

I got a transfer case and driveshaft from, ped5stang. The driveshaft cv type end has a cut in the rubber. Does anyone know if there are replacement boots for these if so where to get em and how much they run? I installed it and was able to move the truck finally, plan on trying out the transfer case tomorrow. Id like to do something with that driveshaft tho cause its eventually gonna fail like the one I pulled off in pieces.
Thanks

Oh also whats good fluid for the transfer case?
Thanks again!

I don't think that boot can be replaced. As for fluid, the AWD case uses standard ATF. Don't think it matters if it's Mercon IV, V, or what. I use synthetic in mine though.

Thanks for the answer on the fluid. Man I would hate to have to buy a whole new driveshaft because the damn boot has a tear in it. I guess I can redneck it and duct tape it for awhile see if it holds. lol

Is there any other way to get the speedometer working besides getting another transfer case with the speed sensor in it?

THIS SUX :/

You weren't asked if it had the speed sensor? Should be able to send it back and get the right one.

Bought it on the for sale forum here. It came out of a 97 awd 5.0 mountaineer which is my exact same thing and I didnt even realize there were different ones with and without speed sensor until after I went to install it came back here and researched. Also the driveshaft I got the rubber cv type side the boot has a tear in it.
