Hello,
I've been reading and reading and It seems everyone seems to be able to fit these. Well I bought a set of wheels and tires of craigslist. Kid said they came off an explorer and he tried them on his ranger but they rubbed so he took them off his ranger was like an 87. Well I put these on and the center hole is too small. So I got some cheap 5/16 spacers temporarily. I was going to have the holes bored out. They are only off by like 1/4" so needs 1/8" all the way around. But already the fronts are rubbing on the upper control arms. My old front tires wore on the inside badly and fast. This was even after an alignment. I was wondering if I did the torsion twist it would help pull the tire from the upper control arm. Which way would I need to go lower or higher? I've read a bunch of the topics but I'm still not clear on it. Because once I get rid of the spacers it will be even worse. The wheels are 17x7s. I think they may have come off a 2wd cause of the smaller hub holes I believe they are called. I'm currently laid off so buying these was way cheaper than getting two new tires let alone a full set. Now I'm kind of stuck on what to do. I do have a 3 year alignment paid for at tire kingdom. Is there anything they can do to pull the wheels away from the upper control arms? I know this is alot to read. Anyone with any help on a cheap fix would be appreciated.
Thanks

BTW currently due to 15"s and sub box I believe is the reason my rear is sitting lower than the front. Front from ground to bottom of fender is like 35" rear is 32" Could this be a part of the problem?

THE WHEELS MUST HAVE IMPROPER SPACING,when you buy new rims you order them with whatever spacing you need, the wheels you bought must be spaced too far in,you need the old mag wheel style(like aluminum slots)with deeper spacing. So the rim comes out farther from where it bolts on.Good luck my friend.I think there is a post in the stickys that explains wheel spacing or how to buy wheels-read it if you need to.

Sorry I wrote that so it seems I`m talking about the style of wheels to buy,I meant only the look of the spacing on old aluminum slots, not that you need to buy slots, just using them to illustrate the spacing you need to clear your control arms.
