97 Newbe questions ... seats

hi nice forum you've got here

we'll I just picked up a 97 explorer after someone "borrowed" my car over in detroit..... seems like a nice truck... it's got around 200 000 km on it.... hopefully there's lots of life left in her....

anyways here come the dumb questions

the person that had it before me.... killed the seat..... they were kinda heavy so the padding is basically gone.... if i was to replace the seat... what year of explorer will fit in a 97.... I'll likely have a hard time finding one with the same kind of material.... soooo if i can't find one I'll likely end up getting this one gone over....

couple other things.....

the door hand spring is shot..... is this an easy fix...

there is some noises coming from the front over bumps... any ideas....

Welcome to the site.
All Explorers, except for the 91's, have the same seat tracks, so finding a nice set should be easy. What door handle is broke? Inside/outside? The noises over bumps, are they clunks? Could be balljoints, or bushings on the swaybar.
