Gremlins have invaded the radio in my recently acquired 97 XLT!
Yesterday, I noticed that the radio was on but the display was blank and NONE of the controls worked except for on/off. After I turned the truck off and later restarted it, the radio worked fine. This occurred after running on a bumpy, gravel road.
This morning, I went to refuel and the radio worked fine. After refueling, the radio reset to 12:00 and the preprogrammed stations.
The radio appears to be stock AM/FM/Cassette stero, no power antenna or CD. It looks EXACTLY like the picture in the audio guide but has no "FORD" logo.
Can anyone shed some insight?
Also, how does one remove the radio?
