97 Ranger Premium Sound System Help

Hello

I recently acquired a 1997 Ranger extra cab 4x4 with factory premium sound system. I have no sound and checked the head seems ok. I went ahead and got the adaptors and installed a pioneer cd changer but still have no sound. I assume the external amp is bad. Heres the problem, I have looked and looked but I cannot locate the amp

Can anyone help me out with its location please?

The truck has two fold out seats in the back no subwoofer.

Fom the 97 Ranger/Aerostar Service Manual:

"The amplifier is located behind the back trim panel for Ranger Regular Cab and behind the RH quarter trim panel for Ranger Super Cab.

The instrument panel wiring harness is unique for the premium sound system."
