97 sport cracked head

My 97 sport is in the shop with a diagnosis of cracked head. The car was nver overheated, and was serviced by he book. Has anyone had experience likr this??

what motor, how many miles, and what oil and coolant do you use?

Its the standard 4.0 ohv with 45k miles.
oil changed every3k miles,usually Valvoline 10w40
Coolant is factory, changed last year
The motor was never overheated. I suspect a faulty casting.

Yup, probably defective.

Well, the machine shop confirmed a bad casting. My aftermarket warranty will cover it, so I should be back on the road next week.
